An 18”x24” illustration assignment done very quickly (one night) which I had a blast doing, despite staying up late to make up for my procrastination. The assignment was a conceptual portrait of a classmate using only two colors plus black and white. Since Yuko has banned microns and all other “open the cap and go” tools, this was done in dip pen & ink (my cartooning-major-suitemate was kind enough to lend me hers, since my nibs are trash)  and watercolor (with some acrylic).  Two minor progress shots. Unfortunately there is no good photo that shows the colors or detail correctly, as it would be with the lighting in my room.

The peacock was the most fun to do, since there are varying feather patterns on the body.
